| So anyone who talks to me or reads my surveys will know that I’ve been really ambivalent about my feelings with regards to ToC. I’ve never been to an American rock show before, and they are rumored to be much rougher than J-rock shows, though I think being squeezed to where I could barely breath in general admission for Jrock Rev on day 2 during D’espairsRay was pretty bad already lol. It’s all in good fun and good energy though. Better rowdy, than dead. So, needless to say, as a small, Asian girl, I was feeling really apprehensive. I’d been dreaming about D’espairsRay for months before thanks to Voni’s influence and Chantrea’s Sexual Beasts Saga lol. I’ve never been to a Rock show of this enormity before. So I felt the way I always feel when experiencing new things; fearful but excited. I guess this blog will be short since many of you will have seen/are going to see D’espairsRay, MUCC, and THE UNDERNEATH yourselves so there’s really no point in reading my account right? *** Just got back from ToC in fairfax today and I haven’t eaten sinze 11am so I’ve been running on one slice of pizza and sips of mana’s ROCKSTAR fruit punch :). I’ll try to keep it short since mana, amber, saku, and ryo were there, and pretty much every American Jrock fan i know is going to their own show or even more than one show. sooo yea, you can read if you want, but you don’t have to :X. I’m wearing my D’espa hoodie right now in size XS cuz they ran out of small, but these seem to run big soo it’s very comfy! Family was still up soo i had to cover up my outfit X"D. I guess I should go chronologically..? ( ToC experience )i had a really really good time, and i was really pleasantly surprised by that! i was expecting to have an alright day, but a lonely one. i guess the jrock fandom on the east coast is very close-knit cuz i ended up running into everyone who was there without even having to call anyone :P. got lost for a couple of minutes going home, so i ended up getting home around 12:20a.m. i’m in the middle of upping pix now, but if i upload all of my pix...no one will read my blog :(. <333 ~<3christine | |

| Jrock Revolution is still the happiest weekend of my life. I really miss this time, and it is full of memories that I pull out during my darkest hours to help me cope.
It was the first time that I got to meet Voni in person. Meeting her in real-life is an occasion that I value greatly. Her friendship is soo important to me.
Many things that could have been life-changing almost but didn't quite happen. However, the majority of the time, I feel that everything happens for a reason. So if we didn't get to party with D'espairsRay or Miyavi like our friends did, it just wasn't meant to be. Seeing Saga live and in front of me and the focus of my world was more than I could ever hope for.

( JRR & LA blog ^-^ )Going to upload the few good pictures that I got and set that photo album to friends only. Please don't steal my pix and say they're yours. It was extremely difficult to take good pix since they said no flash-photography. Plus I was in the pit day 1 and in General Admission Day 2 and it was really crazy. My hand kept wobbling and I couldn't take good pics over people's flailing arms and such. I'm sad cuz I didn't get a single nice picture of girugamesh but I'm happy that I was there and got to hear satoshi's mind-blowing voice live. Umm my ears rang for a while after both shows. *~*~*~*~*~* All in all, it was the best time of my short life soo far. The shows were amazing and a good time was had by all<3. Many of the bands said that they were coming back to perform. Hopefully they meant the U.S. and not just LA. oh! i also managed to get several seconds on alice nine's perfs cuz that's when my camera started to die. i don't think they're worth uploading though cuz i was uhhh, sorta excited while filming soo it's all crazy angled and such XD. ~<3christine P.S.: I uploaded all of my best pictures from JRR on my Myspace, and I left them up for quite a long time...but then I got selfish and took them down. Flash was not allowed so many of the pictures came out blurry or had crap lighting. Here are a few of my favorites from all the pictures I took ^_^! My second set of Jrock Scans. They were slightly better, but still need improvement. I really love Shoxx Bis and Neo Genesis though I haven't been able to purchase any in a very long while. I also like Arena37'c because they seem to really adore alice nine. :).

i finished scanning lm.c (for ty) & D (for caiko), and right now i'm almost done with alice nine. the gazette is going to have to wait until after church and shopping.
you guys don't have to keep checking. i'll post a bulletin when they're all done :).
& yes, they'll be watermarked. but i'll make it small enough soo that if it's a life or death situation and you really need to crop it out you can. but plz credit me okay?? & feel special cuz i'm posting them here first and i've been scanning for about two hours now. and m blogs are set to friends only soo all my profile lurkers can go friend request me now muahahaha :P.

the scans are going to be very large but not as large as last time. cuz i think 1700 x 2333 is a bit ridiculous and not very useful unless you're planning to print these out of your lappy and staple em together and try to sell them to idiots on ebay XD (are u?? O_O)!!! & maybe maybe maybe, if you like the scans enough you'll be motivated to start buying jrock mags?? & don't say u don't know where to get them. i get all of mine here. my state doesn't sell jrock merch just as much as your state! cuz i'm really weird; i buy more mags than i do music; it's cheaper :X.

| Looking back, even though it was a horrible first time at a J-rock show with a pit, it really wasn't soo bad thanks to the gestures of good friends. Amber giving me the Dir En Grey tag that she found, and Caiko buying an extra "The Marrow of a Bone" CD just to mail it to me were both very sweet and touching actions that I am still thankful for.
February 5th of 2007 will be memorable for me for other reasons aside from Dir En Grey. It was also the first day that I ever spoke to Caiko on the phone. I was soo nervous that we wouldn't click because she is soo much older than I am. It seems our friendship is still going strong, more than a year since the day we first spoke :).

P.S.: Sorry there aren't any photos from this live either. I had a really crappy old cell camera at the time that I borrowed from my cousin, and they are still sitting on her phone memory since she does not have a USB cord for it. Plus, the pictures were awful blurry ghost-shapes anyway x_X. They have no meaning to anyone aside from me who can actually tell what blur was Die, what blue was Shinya, and what blue was Kyo. I think this show was no cameras also..?
